Description
Polski: 5 lipca 1931 roku o godz. 18.00 w drodze z Drezna, na lotnisku w Gliwicach wylądował jedyny raz sterowiec LZ 127 „Graf Zeppelin”, a obserwowało to 200 tyś. osób, który o godz. 18.30 odleciał do Friedrichshafen. Imponował potężnymi gabarytami: 237 m – długość, 30,5 m – średnica kadłuba, 110 km/godz. – prędkość. W 1929 roku przelatywał nad Gliwicami, ale bez lądowania.

Kapitanowie sterowca Lehmarn i Schiller nie wysiedli, tylko wychylili się z gondoli pozdrawiając mieszkańców. Po wręczeniu kwiatów i plakietek wymieniono pocztę oraz paczki.
