English: Stepney railway station (site), Hull, Yorkshire Opened in 1853 by the York & North Midland Railway on the line from Hull Paragon to Victoria Docks, this station closed in 1854 but was reopened by the North Eastern Railway in 1864, now serving also the line to Withernsea and later, Hornsea. The station closed to passengers in 1964 and completely in 1965. View west towards Botanic Gardens and Hull Paragon. Both platforms and the station building were extant when this image was taken. |
