"Moran Bros. Co.'s ship yard—View of steamer Geo. W. Dickinson 50 days after her keel was laid. She is being built for the Pacific Clipper Line" from Seattle and the Orient (1900); see Robert Moran (shipbuilder); the shipyard was on the Seattle waterfront. The ship was, in fact, purchased by the U.S. Navy and renamed the Seward: see Annual Report of the Quartermaster General to the Secretary of War for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1900, p. 50. |
