Title
English: Steamer CITY OF TOPEKA sunk next to the Pacific Coast Co. Pier, Seattle, 1906
Description
English: The 1,057 GRT passenger steamship City of Topeka was built in 1864 at Chester, Pennsylvania. The Pacific Coast Steamship Co operated her until 1916. From then until 1920, the Admiral Line ran her between San Francisco and Portland. The Inter-Island Steamship Co bought her in 1920 and three years later she was sold to the Los Angeles Steamship Co. who renamed her Waimea. The steamship sunk in Seattle along side her dock on September 11, 1906. The investigation was concluded on October 29th when she had been raised and pumped out.

Handwritten on verso: Topeka.
