Description |
Many Christians have long believed that the saints are able to plead with God on their behalf and that particular saints can give protection against specific illnesses. St Radegund (c. 520-587) was a Frankish princess who ran away from her violent and abusive husband and founded the Christian Convent of Our Lady of Poitiers in France. It is believed she was prayed to by those with ringworm and toothache. maker: Unknown maker Place made: France Wellcome Images |
