The nature andmeans of instruction, deduction, induction, analysis, synthesis,the nature and use of hypotheses and theories, requisites ofscientific classification, principles of scientific investigation, theuses of analogy, generalization and demonstration are some of thetopics studied. It is the purpose of the latter to disucss the various problemsconfronting the teacher in the organization and conduct of aschool. It will be made as practical as possible for those whowill teach in the rural schools as well as for those who will enterthe graded schools. Section A—History of Education.
