Description
English: Geddes' Ferry on Gympie Road, 1874.

Geddes Ferry over Caboolture River was first installed and operated by J. Stewart in 1873.

It should be noted that the geographical coordinates given by the source for this image are of a location in Brisbane, not Caboolture. The probable or conjectural location of Geddes Ferry was on what was then the Gympie Road (the road from Brisbane to Gympie) where it crossed the Caboolture River, in what is now the town of Caboolture but which was in 1874 an undeveloped region of Queensland known simply as the Caboolture.
