Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Two women in front of a photographic studio at Ingham This photographic studio appears to be the same premises as that occupied by Harriett Brims' 'Britannia Studio' at Ingham between 1902 and 1903. At the time this photograph was taken, the studio does not seem to be operational - the plaque on the wall to the right of the door reads: 'Agency Liverpool & London & Globe Insurance Co.'. It is possible that Harriett Brims, an early female Queensland photographer, returned to Ingham in later years to photograph her old studio. The words 'Britannia Studio' can be seen faintly coming through the paint on the sign above the bull-nose awning.
Source Item is held by John Oxley Library, State Library of Queensland.
Author Brims, Harriett Pettifore, 1864-1939
