Description
English: Old 'Laurel Vale' home, Airdale, ca. 1912.

Home of James Kelly and family. Mrs Kelly is at the top of the stairs. On the verandah, from left to right, are Mr Kelly, George, Bill, Agnes, Mabel, Tom and Jim. On the ground in front are Minnie, Amy and Walter.

Note that "Laurel Vale" and "Airdale" return negative on Queensland place name databases. One other file in the Library of Queensland set (File:StateLibQld 1 100468.jpg) has an annotation "Old Airdale State School 1908 Now Airville State School," which suggests the possibility that a former locality Airdale was name changed to Airville sometime before 1908. Airville is a locality in Queensland, post code 4807.
