| Description |
English: Black & white photo showing Star Trails over the thrones of Kokino. The technique includes long exposure of 2h and 15 mins on a black and white film using a wide angle objective mounted on Praktica MTL3 analog photo camera. Perseides meteor shower is common for mid August and two meteorites are visible on this photo, one just over the thrones and the other one in the upper right corner. The two disconnected lines are airplanes that passed in the sky during the time of exposure. Estimated time of usage of the observatory were years between 1800-1400 b.c. when ancient people built it and used it for time orientation and creating of a calendar. Today it's remains are silent witness of the natural erosion forces and the movement of heavenly bodies as well. |
