Airmail stamp of the Republic of Burundi (First Republic); 1968; commemorative airmail stamp of the issue to the "Christmas 1968"; issue of 8 stamps + 8 se-tenant + 4 blocks each à 4 different stamps (stamps + blocks = perforated and imperforate, se-tenants = only perforated; The depicted stamp is BDI Michel: No. 465A from 1968. (Blocks = Michel Bl.31) The stamp shows as motive a detail of the painting „Adoration of the Magi“ or „Die Anbetung der Könige“ by Juan Bautista Maíno (1591-1649).; The painting was created in 1612 in the style of the style of the Spanish Baroque (early Baroque) and is contemporary located at the „Museo del Prado“ in Madrid (Spain).; Unfortunately, this stamp was postmarked by an CTO.
