Deutsch: Das Stadtmuseum in Rapperswil (SG) und seine Sammlung.
Geleitbrief für Andreas Rifel und sein ‚Monstrum‘, aus dem Conceptbuch 1613 bis 1630 im de:Stadtarchiv Rapperswil. 1624 bat der Rapperswiler Leib- und Wundarzt Andreas Rifel den Rat um ein Empfehlungsschreiben für seine Tätigkeit als Schausteller: Zusammen mit seiner Frau zog er mit einem Walskelett durch die Lande um ein «unghür, schröcklich, gross Monstrum und Gebein von einem unmöglichen grossen Wal- oder Merfisch um eine ziemliche hohe Summa Gelts erkauft und dasselbige an vielen Orten und Enden, Steten, Markftflekken un Dörfern jedermannigklich zu einer Lust und einem gebürenden Pfennig ...» sehen zu lassen. Der Rat von Rapperswil bittet im Geleitbrief alle weltlichen und geistlichen Obrigkeiten, Andreas Rifel ungehindert durch ihr Herrschaftsgebeit reisen zu lassen.
