Summary[edit]

Description
English: Religious buildings that recall the classical style such as this one arrived in England previously only with Inigo Jones who at the beginning of the seventeenth century, in a Nordic environment linked to the Gothic style, imported Italian classicism, completing the architectural panorama of the English Renaissance. Among the most famous events that have taken place here are the funeral of Admiral Nelson, that of the Duke of Wellington, that of Sir Winston Churchill and that of Margaret Thatcher; the jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria; i te deum for the end of the first and second world wars; the marriage between Prince Charles and Princess Diana; the Festival of Britain lunch; the celebrations for the jubilees of Queen Elizabeth II (silver, gold, diamonds and the 80th and 90th birthday of the queen).
