Text on back of card: BIRDSEYE VIEW FROM BUFFALO TOWER
This birdseye view takes in the Palace of Liberal Arts in the left foreground, the Palace of Mines and Metallurgy, one of the pavilions flanking the Terrace of States, the German House and as a background a part of Forest Park. The Palace of Liberal Arts, of exteremely rich design, cost $475,000 and covered nine acres. The exhibits were especially interesting, comprising the great coin collection from the British Mint, a large display of ancient Chinese books and carvings, rare articles from Chinese temples and fantastic Chinese weapons. Modern printing machinery, an engraving plant, lithographic presses, a historical display of the typewriter, specimens showing the latest discoveries in photography, geographical maps and models from Germany, and a thousand other interesting objects attracted here the attention of the most wide awake people.
