Description

"STREET SCENE", New Orleans, 1972.

View is from doorway of the A & P grocery store at the downtown lake corner of Royal and St. Peter Streets, French Quarter, looking across towards the Pedesclaux-Lemonnier House diagonally across the intersection. Only the foreground is in sharp focus, showing portion of a motorcycle (including a cross shaped mirror) parked on the sidewalk. Beyond in blurred focus can be seen pedestrians, auto traffic heading back on St. Peter Street. Two people are seated in street at left; one with guitar case; likely they are street musicians.
