Summary

[edit]
Description
English: St. Paul's from the southeast Although the cathedral is longer on its east-west axis than on its north-south axis, like most churches, the area around the dome is perfectly symmetrical. The outside of the south transept is to the left and the outside of the south quire aisle is to the right, both leading towards the dome. The Stone Gallery, 53 metres up, is below the dome and the Golden Gallery, 85 metres up, is above the dome. The ball and lantern at the top is 111 metres above the cathedral floor.
