Description
English: Spindle whorl; cast lead spindle whorl of unknown date. The whorl is roughly cast and not quite circular. It is biconical in shape and has a straight-sided, sub-circular hole through the centre. One face is decorated with four large, moulded pellets unevenly spaced around the whorl and connected by a moulded line. The whole has an even, cream-grey patina over its surface. Diameter 27.3mm, thickness 15.4mm, weight 40.06g
