Spindle whorl of unknown date; biconical whorl with decoration on both faces
Description
English: Spindle whorl; cast lead spindle whorl of unknown date. The whorl is of biconical shape and is decorated on both faces with moulded lines forming a rough star-shaped pattern. There are also pellets within the points of the star. The whorl has a large, sub-circular hole in the centre. The metal has an even, thin, pale grey patina over its surface. Diameter 29.7mm, thickness 8.9mm, weight 29.48g
