• While I doubt there were copyright markings on the back of the blotter, because I wasn't able to view it, a copyright search was done for renewals in periodicals and artwork for the years 1967 and 1968. Nothing pertaining to Southern Pacific Railroad was found.

This work is in the public domain because it was published in the United States between 1929 and 1963, and although there may or may not have been a copyright notice, the copyright was not renewed.
