English: The ferry terminal in Strand, Sortland, Norway in 1957. The car ferry connection between Strand on Hinnøya island and Sortland on Langøya island was in service from 1947, and was one of the busiest in Norway. It was replaced by a bridge, Sortlandsbrua, in 1975. The name of the ferry is not visible in the photo (Sortland is the home port), but according to Wilhelm Langes it is probably Biltrafikk-Tre.
