Description

Name: Sonnenglanz® bzw. 'Bay 4210

Kreuzung: Pinova × Topaz

Züchter: Dr. Michael Neumüller, Bayerisches Obstzentrum Hallbergmoos. Sortenschutzanmeldung unter der Bezeichnung ‘Bay 4210’.

Ertrag: Hoch und sehr regelmäßig, kaum Alternanz. Ausdünnung erforderlich

Blüte: Diploid. Blütezeit mittelspät.

Frucht: Mittelgroße, rundlich bis flach gebaute Frucht. Reife etwa 10-15 Tage nach ‘Gala’. Zuerst die wenigen gelben „Blinker“ pflücken, dann ca. 7 Tage bis zur Haupternte warten. Nicht zu früh pflücken, die Lagerfähigkeit leidet nicht, aber das Aroma entwickelt sich stark. Sehr einfaches Pflückkriterium: Schale flächig zitronengelb, nur in der Kelchgrube grünlich. Lentizellen treten deutlich hervor.

Cremefarbenes Fruchtfleisch. Sehr fest (9,3 kg/cm²). Mittelhoher Säuregehalt (6-8 g/l) Hoher Gehalt an löslicher Trockensubstanz (13,5-14,5 % Brix). Spritzig und erfrischend. Ein echter Hochgenuss.

Keine Neigung zur Berostung selbst unter heißen und trockenen Bedingungen. Daher sehr hoher Anteil makelloser Früchte.

Lagerung:

  • Kühllager: Temperatur: 1,5-2 °C. Bis April lagerfähig.
  • CA-Lager: Temperatur 1,5-2 °C. Lagerfähig bis Juli.
  • Bei SmartFresh®-Behandlung im Kühllager bis Juni haltbar, im CA-Lager bis August.

Krankheitsanfälligkeit: Gering anfällig für Fruchtschorf (ähnlich ‘Pinova’), gering anfällig für Blattschorf. Bei jungen Bäumen im ersten oder zweiten Behang tritt mitunter Stippigkeit auf.

Insgesamt robust, im Bioanbau bewährt.

Besonderheit: Früchte sind für Apfelallergiker (Mal d1) geeignet: allergikerfreundlich
