Description

Know that we've had a lot about ships this week, but fell across these two photos while looking for S.S. Coningbeg photos, and Soldiers Going Away (title from Poole Collection) I and II are far more about the people than the ships, so hope you'll indulge my choice...

Thanks to Niall McAuley for confirmation that this photo was taken at Adelphi Quay in Waterford.

The two ships are the Great Southern and Great Western, sister ships built in 1902, but difficult to determine which is which.
