| Description |
English: Snowhill Creek The area to the right is also known as Roman Landing which, as its name suggests, has been put forward as the original Roman landing site in Britain. The creek also played a part in smuggling history as the free traders used to float their barrels in on the tide to be picked up at this point. Consequently, coastguard cottages and watch towers were built not far from here. |
