Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Snook's Grave from London Road. The little white stone marks the supposed site of the grave of Robert Snooks, the last highwayman to be executed in England at the scene of his crime. His real name was James Blackman Snook, the "Robert" probably being a corruption of "Robber" and the final S from the possessive case. Closer views can be seen 999762 & 999781 where you will find more information about him & his crime.
