| Description |
English: Slade Green: Forest Road shops Convenience shops and Slade Green's Post Office can be found here. Londis, the occupiers of the nearest unit, were originally formed in 1959 as a group of independent grocers wishing to share the economies of scale enjoyed by the larger supermarkets in having common marketing and logistics, and, much more recently, IT back-up. In 2004 Londis was taken over by the Irish Musgrave Group but still consists of over 2,100 independently owned grocery businesses in the UK. |
