Summary[edit]
DescriptionSkadovsk coat of arms under the Russian Occupation.svg |
English: This is the official rendition of the Skadovsk coat of arms under the Kherson Military-Civilian Administration. The author of the original coat of arms is the chief architect of the city P.I. Kravchenko. The shield of the coat of arms is four-part. On the background of four parts is a circle with a diameter of 9/10 of the main shield as a sign of the Sun. The first and fourth parts of the shield outside the circle are gold, the second and third are azure. In the first part of the shield, inside a circle in an azure field, there is an anchor on the background of two sea waves as a symbol of the fact that the foundation of the city is based on the construction of the port . In the second part, inside a circle in a golden field, there is an ear of wheat as a sign that Skadovshchyna is an agricultural region. In the third part, inside a circle in a golden field, there is a stylized image of an irrigation channel. In the fourth part, inside a circle in an azure field, there is a strip of beach, sea waves and a canopy as a sign of a resort town. Under the circle is the date "1894" — the year the city was founded. The date, heraldic figures and border of the shield are blue. The only difference from the Ukrainian rendition is the wording; Skadovsk in Russian. |
