Summary[edit]

Description
English: The intersection of Ward Street and Dagmar Street near the Rockhampton Mater Misericordiae Hospital. It was here on the afternoon of 28 September 1913, an out of control speeding steam tram crashed when it left the rails as it rounded the sharp bend into Dagmar Street, while it was on the way back to the city centre from the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens. Three people died from injuries sustained in the crash.
