Français : Portrait de Sir James Bland Burges (1752-1824), plus tard aussi commu sous le nom de Sir James Bland Lamb, premier baronet, peint en 1774 à Rome pendant son Grand Tour.
Le tableau nous montre le baronnet anglais en pied assis sur une chaise en noyer de l'époque Louis XV. Il est vêtu d'un habit en drap rouge et d'un gilet fleuri en soie légère, portant à son côt une épée. La main droite repose sur un Guide de Rome, posé sur une carte de la même ville. Un violoncelle avec son propre archet et quelques partitions gisent par terre. Sur le côté gauche du tableau, une console Louis XVI en bois sculpté et doré laisse apparaître la signature de l'auteur dans la partie supérieure du pied ; sur le meuble, en plus du livre et de la carte décrits ci-dessus, il y a le buste de Minerva Giustiniani, également souvent utilisé par Pompeo Girolamo Batoni dans ses portraits destinés aux aristocrates et aux participants au Grand Tour, ainsi que par Angelika Kauffmann, par exemple dans son portrait d'Anna Amalia de Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel de 1788. Le buste dérive de la statue en pied conservée dans les Musées du Vatican, et n'est connu qu'à travers les portraits de l'époque, exécutés à Rome.
