| Description |
English: Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael R. Pescador explains the use of medical equipment to members of the Vietnam People’s Navy prior to a simulated mass casualty event April 23 as part of Naval Exchange Activity 2013 in Da Nang, Vietnam. The NEA provides opportunities for U.S. and Vietnamese naval professionals to share best practices and exchange maritime skills. Maritime skill exchanges between the two navies are non-combatant events, such as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, medical training, fire fighting and damage control, search and rescue, diving and salvage, sports and community service projects.
