Description
English: An incomplete silver dress-pin of bodkin type with an ear-scoop at the complete end and part of the rectangular opening surviving at the other incomplete end. Below the ear-scoop there is a circular hole and below this a pair of transverse grooves. It is then further decorated with incised lines forming a triangular shape above an area of incised cross-hatching, there are also pairs of diagonal incised lines either side of the incomplete rectangular slot.

Discussion: This dress pin is similar to other more complete examples such as 2066 T168, from Ivinghoe Aston area, Buckinghamshire (Treasure Annual Report 2005/6, 135, 576).

Dimensions: 45.41mm in surviving length, 5.80mm in width and 2.09mm in thickness, 3.30g in weight.
