| Description |
English: Silver Path, Loch Moidart A very enjoyable and spectacular path built in the 19th Century. You can still see the fierce fence and gateway used to ensure that somebody intended to keep it all for themselves. I expect the rhododendrons which have taken over the whole lochside were also introduced at this time.
The path supposedly gets its name from a hoard of silver coins found during its construction. In recent years it has been renovated and a path extended to the road at the head of Loch Moidart. |
