Description
English: Oak Ridge Country Club was chartered by several prominent Jewish businessmen who had been denied membership in existing Twin Cities clubs. Initially, there had been a movement in the local Jewish community for a Twin Cities club, but when that proved undoable, Minneapolitans selected the Hopkins site (St. Paul golfers founded Hillcrest Country Club.) Oak Ridge opened in July, 1921.
