[Siege of Lille]

Text recto bottom:

Frightful monster! Shame on nature. The enemy tyrants, believing that by this atrocious conduct Lille would be reduced to ashes, but the admirable constancy of the Citizens and the garrison has made them a people of heroes. 500 houses burned 2,000 were damaged. Finally, after having seen all their useless efforts, the Austrian brigands were obliged to raise the siege on the 12th of the same month, leaving part of their heavy artillery, which was dismantled by our recognized superior in this period of freedom against Tirannie.]
