Description	Looking southwestward from the corner of Main and North Division Streets in downtown Buffalo, New York, at the south end of Shelton Square, as seen in 1881. Of the buildings seen here, the only one remaining is the White Building (the two interconnected high-rises at center in the top half of the photo; now called Cathedral Place). The building directly on the corner at center would be demolished in 1901 and replaced by the Erie Savings & Loan Building (now the Flickinger Ministry Center of St. Paul's Cathedral); those further down Main Street at left are now the site of the Fidelity Trust Building. At far left, the buildings on the east side of Main Street were razed in 1894 to make way for the Ellicott Square Building.
