Description
English: The front write "Shanghai One Tael" around the enblem of the British Empire, which should be "one shanghai tael", a monetary unit origniated in Shanghai and popular in China. This file is a scan of a coin of which its design is otherwise not restricted by copyright. This is a photocopy of a coin produced using an entirely mechanical method with no creative input.

Please only use this template if the following conditions are met:

  • The file is a mere mechanical reproduction of the coin and not a handmade illustration.
  • The design of the coin itself is not copyrighted, please see Commons:Currency for its copyright status.
  • The scan has not been sufficiently altered to generate new copyright, such as by colouring it in using intricate graphic designs.

Please include a license tag for the original design of the coin from its country of origin; and if its country of origin is not the United States then:

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years.
