Summary[edit]

Description
English: The sculpture "Powerful", (which is named as "Shaktiman" in Marathi language by great Marathi poet "Kusumagraj" alias Tatyasaheb Shirwadkar) was the Guinness Record as the heaviest & tallest scrap metal sculpture. It was accepted in 1991 and was in the book of record till 1999 in all editions.

"Powerful" was commissioned by the national thermal power station at Nashik and installed at the main entrance gate. It took eight months to complete the job.

"The Powerful" was created by Dr. Sudhir Deshpande, a local sculptor living and working in Nashik, India.
