Description
English: diagram from Bodleian Library Michael MS. 276, entitled Clavicolo di Salomone Re d'Israel figlio de David, an Italian language version of the "Key of Solomon" grimoire.

It is a variant of the "Seventh and last Pentacle of the Sun" published in Athanasius Kircher's Oedipus Aegyptiacus (Rome, 1652-4)

The figure is accompanied with the following caption (in the translation of S. Liddell MacGregor Mathers 1889):

The seventh and last pentacle of the Sun.-- If any be by chance imprisoned or detained in fetters of iron, at the presence of this pentacle, which should be engraved in Gold on the day and hour of the Sun, he will be immediately delivered and set at liberty.
