Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Sepulchre of María Díaz Vivancos and Mateo Martínez Velasco, in the Los Remedios Cemetery in Cartagena (Spain), created by the sculptor José Llarbona Sánchez commissioned by Mateo Martínez in 1934 to house the remains of his wife María Díaz, who died that year, and which also housed those of Martínez in 1962. The work, made of limestone and bronze, is composed at its base of a terrestrial globe around which the names and dates of death of the owners appear, and on which a cartouche with texts in Hebrew from the books of Proverbs and Song of Songs is located. To the left of the globe is a bench, where Mateo Martínez sat when visiting the grave of his wife.
