Summary[edit]

Description
English: The cycle of the seminiferous epithelium shown within a cross section of a seminiferous tubule. To simplify the diagram no intracellular cytoplasmic bridges are shown and only one type of each cell is shown. As/pr/al cells actually exist in all stages. In any given tubule cross section only the cell types from a single stage will be present in mice. Stage numbers are shown around the perimeter of the tubule demarcated by black triangles. In. : Intermediate, Spg. : Spermatogonia.
