Description Seeing his path blocked by a sturdy fence, this Asiatic Black Bear turned away. A few moments later another bear appeared on the other side of the fence, and this bear really had a go at it, lunging forward, clawing, and snorting furiously. Thanks to the fence, the other bear was safe. Apart from Asiatic Black Bears, this facility is also said to house Malayan Sun Bears. I didn't see a single Malayan Sun bear that day. Or maybe that was the bear the appeared on the other side of the fence, due to which this chap was getting so worked up? But attack or no attack, I was happy to see the bear in 'wild mode' once again. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
