English: Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta, second from left, and Patrick White, center left, the president of Families of Flight 93, look at the wall bearing victims names at the Flight 93 National Memorial during a 9/11 commemoration event Sept. 10, 2012, in Shanksville, Pa. The memorial was erected to mark the crash site of United Airlines Flight 93 after terrorists hijacked four passenger aircraft Sept. 11, 2001. Two of the aircraft were deliberately crashed into the World Trade Center in New York; one was crashed into the Pentagon; the fourth crashed at the Shanksville site. Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks. |
