Summary[edit]

Description

Page 107 of brochure Seattle and the Orient (1900). This page includes text plus a pair of photos captioned, respectively as:

  • Upper: "Residence of William Trimble, 104 Aloha St., Queen Anne Hill."
  • Lower: "Residence of George Kinnear, Queen Anne Hill."
The Kinnear house stood just west of Queen Anne Avenue on the lower reaches of the hill, facing Lower Queen Anne and downtown. (Polk's Seattle City Directory 1899, Polk's Seattle Directory Co., 1899, p. 567 gives Kinnear's address as 809 Queen Anne Avenue. I believe that was this house.) The Trimble house would have been on the other side of Queen Anne Avenue, quite nearby.
