Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Seattle, Washington, 1909. Looking roughly north from the corner of Second and Pike. The streetcar is turning from Pine onto Second. The large white building more or less straight ahead is now known as the Broadacres Building (then the Schoenfeld Building). Prominent right of center is the New Washington Hotel (now Josephinum) and (in the distance) the Moore Theatre and Hotel. I believe those are the only buildings that remain; the one at left with the bay windows came down about a decade later for what is now known as the J.S. Graham building and, unless I'm mistaken, I believe that the one at right with the WMBE sign must have come down very shortly after this was taken for what is now known as the Second and Pine Building.
