English: Horses and wagons on W. Spokane Street, Seattle, Washington, U.S., 1918. Looking west from Whatcom Avenue. "Whatcom Avenue" was the portion of what is now Alaskan Way S roughly between S Holgate Street and S Spokane Street, basically a southward continuation of Railroad Avenue through filled lands, along the filled east bank of the Duwamish Waterway.
