Summary[edit]

Description
English: Flickr description: Staffin hosts the most impressive collection of Scottish dinosaur remains. THEY have been found in the Jurassic rocks on this coast. Here you can COMPARE your own footprint with the dinosaur footprints. GUESS which Jurassic footprint is that of the ornithopod discovered at Brothers’ Point in 1982. LOOK out for the giant footprint of a carnivorous dinosaur, found at An Corran, another Ceumannan site. Several of the actual prints are visible there, although frequently covered by sand. The world’s smallest DINOSAUR footprint was also discovered locally in 2004. The original is to be seen in the Hunterian Museum in Glasgow but you will find a replica in the Staffin Museum nearby.
