Title: The Körbersee with view to the Großer Widderstein.

Description: In a wide karst hollow, surrounded by more or less steeply falling rocks from Rhaet limestone and Koessen layers lies the Körbersee.

He has an overflow going to the northeast.(to the far left of the picture) The lake area is approximately 3.5 ha. The lake is largely free of vegetation, although especially the marginal abundant the society of the Potamogetum natans occurs. Much of the lake shore is surrounded by a siltation zone. These mostly water-covered sands are assigned to the Caricetum rostratae, the proportion of Menyanthes trifoliata and Equisetum fluviatile is high.

Place: Municipality Schröcken, District Bregenz, Vorarlberg, Austria

Location: Lechquellen Mountains, Bregenz Forest.
