English: ADA was designed and built in 1924 by William Fife III and commissioned by prominent Sydney surgeon Sir Alex McCormick. The vessel took part in several Sydney to Hobart Yacht races and was renamed ASTOR in 1960. See ASTOR's entry on the Australian Register of Historic Vessels for a detailed history of this yacht. This photo is part of the Australian National Maritime Museum’s William Hall collection. If reproduced or distributed, this image should be clearly attributed to the collection of the Australian National Maritime Museum; and not be used for any commercial or for-profit purposes without the permission of the museum.
