The sul:)jccts studied in this course are: Drawing fromtlie antique and Hfe; historic ornament and its apphcation tooriginal schemes for interior decoration ; harmony and con-trast of color; modeling of ornament; water colorrendering; original designs and working drawings for fur-niture, woodwork, hangings, mosaic, stained glass, andstencils; and library research under the direction of theteachers ; the application of studies from nature to practicaluses, and the constant consideration of the principles ofdecorative fitness. The time required for the completion of the work ofthis course depends entirely on the diligence and proficiencyof the student; but those who have already taken the workof Class A or its equivalent are expected to complete thework of the interior decoration certificate course in twoadditional years ; the diploma course in three years.
