Description
Schloss Caputh, links die Dorfkirche. Davor erstreckt sich der Templiner See, der durch die Caputher Gemünde, eine Engstelle der Havel, mit dem dahinter gelegenen Schwielowsee verbunden ist. Der Risalit des Schlosses ist als zweiachsig mit Giebeldreieck verzeichnet, obwohl er immer einachsig und mit einem Walmdach gedeckt war. Das Schiff rechts im Vordergrund ist vermutlich die berühmte „Goldene Jacht“ König Friedrichs I., die nach Fontane „an die Prachtschiffe der alten Phönizier und Syrakuser erinnerte“ und „in Holland nach Angaben des königlichen Baumeisters und Malers Madderstegh erbaut worden“ sei.
