Description
Deutsch: Schönheide im Erzgebirge: Auch am Marktplatz ist auf der nördlichen Längsseite die nach dem verheerenden Brand von 1852 entstandene eher städtische Bebauung mit vier aneinander gebauten traufständigen Häusern verwirklicht. Diese Häuser beherbergten Geschäfte und eine Bäckerei. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts war im rechts teilweise zu sehenden Haus (mit der Beschriftung "Selbmann") das Johannis-Bad untergebracht, davor diente dieses Haus bis 1891 als Postgebäude. Die Marin-Luther-Kirche hat in ihrem Äußeren noch das Aussehen aus der Zeit ihrer Entstehung zwischen 1766 und 1772. Der kleine Anbau – die Sakristei - entstand beim Kirchenumbau 1902/03. Die Gemeinde Schönheide hat eine Eiche in ihrem Wappen. Diese Eiche am Markt wurde im Jahr 1750 gepflanzt, ihr Vorgänger schon im Jahr 1643.
